A distinctive and traditional Chinese tea, Pu-erh is renowned for its depth, complexity and unique character. Produced in Yunnan Province, the leaves undergo a special ageing and fermentation process that gives the tea its rich, earthy flavour and smooth, mellow body. This creates a deep amber infusion with notes of wood, earth and subtle sweetness, followed by a clean, lingering finish. A fascinating tea with centuries of history and a character unlike any other.
Brewing Guide:
Use 1–2 teaspoons per cup. Bring freshly drawn water to the boil, then allow it to cool slightly to around 90–95°C. Infuse for 3–5 minutes. For a more traditional preparation, the leaves can be infused multiple times, with each steep revealing new layers of flavour. Best enjoyed without milk.
