Green tea is made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant. Unlike black tea, the leaves are not fully oxidised during production, helping to preserve their fresh character, delicate flavour and natural colour.

Green teas can vary considerably depending on where they are grown and how they are produced. Some have fresh, vegetal flavours, while others can be sweet, floral, nutty or gently grassy.

Our range includes Sencha Green Tea, a classic green tea known for its fresh, clean and subtly vegetal character. Yunnan Green Tea offers a smoother, mellow style of Chinese green tea with gentle sweetness and a refreshing finish.

For a more fragrant cup, Jasmine Green Tea combines green tea with the elegant floral aroma of jasmine. We also offer Emerald Jasmine, bringing together the fresh character of Sencha with the distinctive fragrance of jasmine petals.

Mao Feng provides another refined Chinese green tea style, with a delicate character and fresh, aromatic profile, while Pinhead Gunpowder is recognised by its tightly rolled leaves and more robust, refreshing flavour.

How to Brew Green Tea

Green tea is generally best brewed with water below boiling point. Using water that is too hot can produce an overly bitter or astringent cup.

As a general guide, use 1–2 teaspoons per cup and allow freshly boiled water to cool for around 2–3 minutes before brewing at approximately 80–85°C. Infuse for around 2–3 minutes, adjusting the time according to personal taste.

Green tea is usually enjoyed without milk, allowing its delicate flavour and aroma to come through.
